Any sailor who ever spent any time in the Colorado Springs area knew the Naval Reserve Training Center located right on the banks of Prospect Lake in downtown Colorado Springs. They were our real connection to the Navy for the 50 or so Navy personnel stationed in that area. They maintained our records, received our orders, could order uniform items, etc. I was lucky enough to be stationed with Defense Communications Agency inside NORAD (Cheyenne Mountain) from Feb. 1971 to Mar 1975. Any others out there ???
