USS Mount Whitney - LCC20

Spent fours years (1990-1994) on this ship in a non traditional DP role. Was assigned to ship as part of the Research, Develop and Acquisition project for the Tomahawk Afloat Planning System. Whitney was the test platform.

Served on the Mt Whitney from feb. 81 -Dec of same. IS dept. Spent most of my time mess cooking and down at NAS Key West going to NIPS school. I do recall Griff,Lee,Cox,Lee,Danner,Tilley and others.

Served aboard the Mount Wonderful 1980-1983. Was in Operations and ran what was known as ASIS. Took the 3M Coordinator job for a year to get out of OPs. Actually enjoyed the 3M job and got pretty good since I had never worked in a 3M environment before.
